The OpenBankingProject.ch was founded in February 2019 as a cross-organizational initiative to promote open banking in Switzerland. The initiative now includes a large number of partners and members who are working together to advance a wide range of topics in line with the open banking concept. These include, for example, digital customer proximity, embedded banking, self-sovereign identity or other topics in the context of “consent-based” data exchange. The OpenBankingProject.ch is convinced that new technologies, data-based business models and standardization and opening up via interfaces, both in the financial industry and beyond, are essential for the strategic development of the Swiss financial center.
